Shockwave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) uses acoustic waves applied to a treatment area. It may be considered for some tendon and soft-tissue problems after an initial physiotherapy assessment. Whether it is appropriate, and the number and spacing of sessions, depend on the individual assessment.
